romanticism and predictions in Herland

Celis is one of the three young women that van, Jeff, and Terry met when they first arrived in Herland. Celis and Jeff  expirienced love at first sight and later, got married. The instant and spontaneous love represents romanticism in Herland.
Celis is a respectable and innocent woman, thus making her confused my Jeff's doubt in her capabilities. She feels as if he thinks she is weaker than she really is. With that, I predicted that this relationship would end brutaly by abuse. However, Jeff and Celis continued to remain a happy couple (Thus keeping an underlying theme of romanticism). Lastly, in the end, Jeff becomes the first father to have a father in Herland history. Not only does this relate to Romanticism, but this also shows how pure Herland was without the damaging influence of the twenty-first century.
